The Duke Farm Stewardship District is a local, special-purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 2025-231, Laws of Florida (“Act”), and Chapter 189, Florida Statutes being situated entirely within Lee County, Florida and established on June 23, 2025 as supplemental and alternative method to manage, own, operate, construct, and finance capital infrastructure systems, facilities and services.
The Duke Farm Stewardship CDD covers approximately 1,134 acres of land, generally located unincorporated Lee County Florida.
A Community Development District (CDD) provides the 'solution' to Florida's need to provide valuable community infrastructure generated by growth, ultimately without overburdening other governments and their taxpaying residents. CDDs represent a major advancement in Florida's effort to manage its growth effectively and efficiently. This allows a community to establish higher construction standards, meanwhile providing a long-term solution to the operation and maintenance of the community's facilities.
